S.T.E.A.M. Scholarship
The Purpose of the S.T.E.A.M. Scholarship is to award scholarships to college-bound high school female seniors based on demonstrated academic achievement, community involvement, financial need, and who will major in an academic field of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, or Math. Gamma Eta Alpha Military Sorority, Inc., seeks to empower young women in the designated fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, or Math with need-based educational resources.
Scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis and disbursed in a one-time payment in August. NOTE: Scholarship funds will be awarded to the student upon evidence of registration in an accredited college or university.
Criteria and eligibility (S.T.E.A.M. Scholarship applicants)
- Applicant must have a parent who is currently serving in the United States Armed Forces or a parent who has served honorably in the past.
- Parent must provide a copy of DD 214 or Statement of Service Letter.
- Applicant must be a graduating female high school senior in the year of the award.
- Applicant must have at least a 3.2 GPA (or a "B+" average).
- Applicant must demonstrate community involvement, improvement in academics, and desire to attend college.
- All applicants must have 50 hours of community service.
- Applicants may not be related to any members of Gamma Eta Alpha Military Sorority, Inc. for this presents a conflict of interest.
